All Caterers

Food For Thought

The sky’s the limit with the high quality of culinary talent we have in the Hampton Roads area. When it comes to choosing a cuisine or theme for your wedding or wedding-related event, many catering chefs have areas of culinary expertise that lend themselves naturally to fabulous dining experiences.

Time Of Day

The time of day and style of your wedding truly dictates what to serve and how. Dinner is appropriate when the reception begins between 6 and 9:30 p.m. Morning and day alternatives are: breakfast (9-11 a.m.) brunch (11 a.m. – 2 p.m.) lunch (12:30 – 3:30 p.pm) and tea (3 – 5 p.m.) Later in the day choices are cocktails (5 – 7 p.m.) and dessert (9 – 10:30 p.m. Be sure to clue guests in to the food they can expect. A simple line like “dessert reception immediately to follow” on the invitation will preclude any food related mysteries.

Wedding Meals On Wheels

The food truck of yesteryear has made a fierce comeback! A modern element to today’s wedding cocktail hour and receptions; long live the artistry and visionary cuisine of “street meat.” A modern twist to today’s wedding fairytale, food trucks are on point with today’s eclectic design trend. It is proper for a food truck to only be present during the cocktail hour or to bring a favorite late night snack. Do not, however, underestimate the ability for a food truck to cater your entire event. Just be certain to inquire how many guests the truck can accommodate and how long it will take them to serve all of your guests with this “modern” buffet line.

Ice Carvings

Have you considered having an ice sculpture at your wedding? Nothing expresses an elegant yet personalized event in quite the same fashion as an artistically carved ice display. Over the last decade this medium has transitioned from a catering display item to a whole new genre: wedding décor! Today’s couples are using ice as the basis for their bar, beaded backdrop curtains, as an expression of their personalities (a favorite team or college), or as a functional focal point of a room. Images of the couple or designs such as monograms are very popular as well. Ice is an attainable design element that will prove to be impressive, memorable and enjoyed by your guests!
